Take Sara Jane's Cottage, a four-bedroom wood cabin over two levels nestled in the heart of The Ranch at Rock Creek in Philipsburg, Montana. Drink in the hills and valleys of Granite County, an area almost completely ringed by soaring mountains, from private deck. Inside, feel every bit the intrepid pioneer as you sleep in iron bedsteads, or bathe in its freestanding copper tub. Every mountain cabin benefits from dedicated, private outdoor space - such as decking and roof terraces to take in the view from comfortable lounge seating. Additional special features are often focused on health and wellbeing and include mountain getaways with hot tubs, hydromassage bathtubs and jacuzzis.

With all our chalets and cabins only a short walk from our main properties, you are free to avail yourselves of Relais & Châteaux’s renowned approach to fine dining. Enjoy in-room dining, at a time of your own choosing, or ask us to create a picnic for your day out in the mountains. Some sites are able to offer private chefs and butlers. Our chefs pride themselves on making local connections with high quality food suppliers, so you can expect the best of the local area. Your host and our concierge team can make personal recommendations and connect you with local guides, winter sports and wildlife experts. From incredible skiing routes or hiking trails to horseback riding, mountain biking and nature spotting among the unique mountain flora and fauna, there’s plenty that will allow you to get your adrenaline fix and answer the call of the wild. Local gastronomic visits can complement the fine dining options back in your mountain cottage. Shopping tours or visits to cultural, historic or archaeological features can be planned, and we can help by arranging transfers too.

Our mountain-top cabin rentals and mountain cottages afford you privacy and seclusion but are all conveniently located close enough to our main hotel properties that additional services and amenities are just a phone call away. Daily housekeeping services are offered, babysitting is often an option, and you can access additional health and wellness facilities such as saunas or spas, where available, to ease weary muscles at the end of the day or simply indulge in a spot of pampering.
