Born in Utsunomiya, chef Kazunori Otowa spent many years in Germany, Switzerland and France mastering his culinary skills. It was his time with chef Alain Chapel that made him realise the importance of roots in food culture, and which led him to open a restaurant in his hometown. His three children now work by his side.
