Perched on the rooftop of the Beau-Rivage Hôtel, these hives provide "my girls", as I like to call them, with a paradise where they produce their delicious honey. This "homemade" production is directly served to clients, not just for breakfast, but also in the delicate pastry creations of our pastry chef Djamal N’Gome. A real treat!"'

This precision industry is thriving today; Neuchâtel remains its epicenter, and it has attracted an increasing number of creative, independent watchmakers—all sited within a 25km radius. Beau-Rivage Hotel is keen to educate its guests about the area’s rich heritage. It has forged a partnership with a local horlogerie, a mere 200m from the hotel, which has seen it fund the complete refurbishment of five workbenches. Here, its guests can attend carefully programed workshops, the longer of which leads to a watchmaker’s certificate. Participants experience the craft for themselves, sharing the watchmakers’ passion to conceive and create from scratch. For many they are an introduction to a creative art, a chance to share in watchmaking’s heritage, and a deeply satisfying personal experience.

We decided to share this craftsmanship, the symbol of the Neuchâtel region, with our guests. In one of our partner's private workshops, guests may participate in the manufacture of a watch by discovering, selecting and helping to assemble watch pieces under the guidance of a master watchmaker. ...And even take their very own timepieces home!"
