The Green Key is an Eco-label that is awarded to institutions or establishments that satisfy the requirements of the certification, which are made up of approximately 100 international standards, making it difficult to obtain. Awarded to the hotel in 2009, the label reiterates by rewarding once again its commitment to the preservation of nature. The Eco-label was launched by FEE JAPAN, a non-profit organization. The Eco-label certification recognizes the approach taken by the owners who are invested in the protection of the environment. One of the reasons Tobira Onsen Myojinkan was awarded is the fact that they have grown crops for more than 30 years without any use of pesticides.  The hotel tucked away in the calm and serenity of the mountains, offers a unique experience that is both wonderful and ethical in an exceptional setting.
