One of the top prizes in the world of gastronomy was recently awarded to chef José Avillez by the International Academy of Gastronomy. José Avillez, who has 2 Michelin stars, won the award for his culinary creativity and dynamism. This famous Lisbon chef, celebrated and recognised as one of the most creative chefs of his generation, regards cuisine as his fado. Lisbon is what inspires him. As he says: "this is where we live, where we grow up, where we are inspired, where we work".
