Relais & Châteaux has joined the “I love Norcia” movement and pledged to help rebuild the Umbrian town in Italy, which was hit by an earthquake on 30 October 2016.  
Norcia’s land and produce make this small town, located within the Monti Sibillini National Park, one of the most important culinary destinations in all of Italy.

The earthquake damaged and partly completely destroyed the landmarks that make up Norcia’s cultural heritage, the rebuilding of which will take nearly 3 years. The Relais & Châteaux family has been directly affected: the Palazzo Seneca, located in the heart of Norcia, is currently inaccessible. Activity will only resume once the reconstruction of the town has been completed.

By saving Norcia we are therefore saving an essential part of Italy’s gastronomic culture, recognised and appreciated throughout the world.
