“I inherited from my grandfather a philosophy of hospitality centred on elegance, simplicity, authenticity and quality. This demands total commitment day in and day out from all of us, so that we can constantly improve what we offer our guests. We invest continuously in new equipment, in the renovation of the premises or in changes to the restaurant’s menu to provide even more enjoyment. In everything we do, we seek what is good and beautiful, what we call the belles manières. All our team members, from the hotel to the restaurant, do their job with passion and joy, and we are all very proud to accept this trophy.” Geneviève and Jean-André Charial, Owners
Hennessy Passion Trophy : Geneviève et Jean-André Charial, Baumanière Hôtel & Spa, Le Prieuré Baumanière, France
One of the oldest Relais & Chateaux in the world, Baumaniere was built in 1945 at the foot of the village of Les Baux-de-Provence by Raymond Thuilier, the current owner’s grandfather. His taste for a certain Provençal art de vivre has been passed down to his grandson, as has his passion for all aspects of hospitality.
