Built in 1889 originally as a private home in Mt. Vernon, Baltimore’s most prestigious neighborhood, The Ivy Hotel was conceptualized by Garrett Hotel Consultants and brought to fruition by The Azola and Brown families after purchasing the property in 2010. Today the historic mansion is home to Maryland’s only Relais and Chateaux, consisting of eighteen beautiful guest rooms and suites, charming public spaces, a small luxury spa, and Magdalena, Baltimore’s best restaurant. Our guests feel The Ivy Hotel is the warmest and most intimate home away from home, and a cornerstone of their Baltimore experience.
The Ivy Hotel is one of the worlds only highly inclusive urban resorts. Everything offered by The Ivy, except dinner and spa treatments, is included in your room rate, from lavish Chef-made breakfasts and on-site activities to cocktails at the Mansion bar and private car service to the harbor, ball games or most destinations in the city. Coming to The Ivy Hotel is much like staying at the home of a generous friend, a place where long-held traditions are honored.
Every detail has been perfectly thought out. The amenities, food, and beauty of the mansion are worth the trip, but the staff is beyond expectation.
I love experiencing new places, especially outdoors. Even though The Ivy is an urban property, boating, hiking and fishing are all activities I truly enjoy and all are within a short drive of Baltimore. We are also a great sports town and with two great stadiums minutes away, I cherish being able to catch an O’s or Ravens game with visiting guests.
