Nestled in the heart of the Chianti region, the Pieve Aldina embodies the spirit of a Sienese hamlet. This hotel, located on the Chiantigiana, the picturesque wine route that links Siena to Florence, invites you to fully enjoy Tuscany’s charms. Surrounded by vineyards, cypress and olive trees, the main building dates back to the 10th century and was once a summer residence to the bishops of Siena. Most of the historic building’s terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and charming archways are original. They highlight the local style of this authentic address beautifully. The region’s rich culinary heritage is showcased in the two restaurants, both with terraces, including the oenoteca. After a day well spent exploring the area’s wine cellars or taking part in a cooking class to learn the art of making delicious fresh pasta, you can enjoy a relaxing massage and lounge by the pool overlooking the valley.
