Our commitments

The Hotel Bellevue & Spa sits in a sea of rural tranquility, in Italy’s Gran Paradiso National Park in the region of Valle d’Aosta. It boasts an entirely new wellness center, covering an area of 1,200m2 with a strong focus on minimizing waste.
Energy is renewable, sourced entirely from hydroelectric power generated in Cogne’s Aosta valley. Pure water is piped directly from the Gran Paradiso Glacier and has enabled the complete elimination of bottled mineral water. Sustainability is designed into waste streams too, with all backwashings from the spa’s circuits pure enough to be recycled for irrigation. In addition, a commitment has been made to source only natural, local products. The wellness center draws on ancient herbal remedies, and preparations are made from glacier water and mud, blended with local honey, milk and wine. The center also offers traditional, organic cosmetics, sourced from the Profumo Santa Maria Novella: a 600-year-old Florentine pharmacy that uses ancient recipes to produce modern-day perfumes and skin care products.

Winter sports in Cogne

Cogne, located in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park, is particularly suitable for Nordic skiing with its 50 miles of trails and 11 loops that wind between trees and mountain streams. In this preserved nature setting, it is not uncommon to see ibexes, chamois and ermines. Downhill skiers and snowboarders will enjoy the intimate atmosphere of the family ski area and its 5 miles of slopes spread across the fir forest from the top of Montseuc. With the Grand-Paradis glaciers as a backdrop, the resort, at an altitude ranging from 5,033 to 7,536 feet above sea level, offers excellent quality snow. As for the famous glacier, it is ideal for ski touring, with more than 620 itineraries proposed around the Saint-Ursus meadow.

The Nest of Angels or an unusual spot for a bath!

Its name sounds straight out of a dream...as does its 80 m² space that makes it ideal for an unforgettable stay. Its 180° views over the Sant’Orso fields and the Gran Paradiso glacier unfold before your very eyes. But the star of the show is one of the two bathrooms. Take a bath on a projecting glass balcony that makes you feel as if you're at one with nature. Its ingenious design allows you to enjoy the landscape as you soak in a nice hot bath!

A stay in paradise

The Cogne Valley offers countless walks and excursions that allow you to discover the flora and fauna of Gran Paradiso National Park. Lakes, waterfalls, glaciers, forests and springs are just waiting to be discovered. In the summer and autumn, enjoy a walk through this natural setting. In the winter, remember to pack your snowshoes so that you can explore in the snow! The spring provides more chances to see the chamois and ibex that live near the village.
