The restaurant highlights ingredients sourced from its organic mini-farm, serving dishes inspired by traditional Costa Rican cuisine.

With almost 200 hectares of cloud forest, El Silencio Lodge & Spa establishes a biological corridor between Costa Rica’s Juan Castro Blanco and Poás Volcano National Parks: a protected reserve allowing the cloud forest’s flora and fauna to thrive and enchant visitors.

El Silencio Lodge & Spa is also committed to a more sustainable way of cooking and eating. Therefore, most of the ingredients used in the lodge kitchen are homegrown and collected within the lodge organic garden, trout ponds and chicken farm. No product used in the kitchen is imported from outside of Costa Rica and Chef Nicolás Di Paolo then adapts restaurant menu based on the fruits and vegetable seasonality, in order to respect nature’s own rhythm.

Explore a waterfall wonderland. The lodge does count with 3 miles of hiking trails along the Gorrión River, leading to three private and soothing waterfalls: La Melodía, El Silencio and La Promesa.
