16th-century residence
for art lovers

In a secret and sunny Eden, located within the ramparts of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a famous artists’ haunt, the Saint-Paul casts its timeless spell. This is the place to stay if you want to fully appreciate French-style hospitality and sophistication. The listed mediaeval promontory where the hotel stands transports you, in supreme comfort, to a world of myth, legend and history. The guestrooms and suites offer stunning views over the village or over the plain up to the Mediterranean. Savour delicious regional dishes on an exquisite, flower-bedecked, sunny terrace – paradise indeed.

Saint-paul-de-vence

Saint-Paul-de-Vence is one of the French Riviera's most beautiful villages and has been home to a star-studded line-up of the world's greatest artists, painters, sculptors and actors. Its authentic charm, white-stone houses and narrow winding streets fascinated and enthralled Matisse and Chagall through the special light that blossoms here, and was once the stage on which the Montand-Signoret romance was free to flourish. Unique beauty in a village where art is revered like a religion!

Saint-paul-de-vence, maeght contemporary art foundation

Inaugurated in 1964 by André Malraux, the Maeght Foundation is a private modern and contemporary art foundation in  Saint-Paul-de-Vence, just 25 km away from Nice. Tucked away in luscious grounds with sweeping views over the Mediterranean, the Maeght Foundation is a prestigious cultural hub and home to works by renowned artists such as Balthus, Braque, Calder, Chagall, Giacometti, Léger and Miró, as well as contemporary artists such as Adami, Arroyo, Tàpies and Monory. The outdoor spaces are beautifully orchestrated in a succession of sculpture gardens, courtyards, terraces, a chapel, a pool and patios.

A portrait like no other

Saint-Paul-de-Vence has been a spot for artists since the dawn of time. Go to meet an unusual artist, Jeremy Kleinberg, and you’ll be bowled over by his talent as he draws your portrait. You’ll be seduced by how he expresses human tones, by his free, instinctive and sometimes deconstructed lines, creating a relationship between rigidity and fragility.
