Restaurant Les Chemins

Martin, Primard's bistro, unfolds along the orchard. On sunny days, the terrace stretches out onto the grass between the apple and cherry trees. The room draws inspiration from Anglo-Norman restaurants, with wainscoting, brick and wide floorboards. Chef Romain Meder's lively cuisine is connected to the Domaine kitchen garden, which evolves throughout the seasons and changing landscapes. Based on plants, the dishes—created in response to the gardens at Primard—pay tribute to the finest local produce.

Set up in the old kitchen of the Maison sur l'Eure around a period fireplace, the majestic La Cornue stove takes center stage. None of the décor seems to have changed for decades. For lunch and dinner, the intimate atmosphere evokes the family spirit of yesteryear, and invites you to enjoy an exclusive experience. The kitchen welcomes two, four, six, or fourteen guests around the large central table. The Chef cooks specially for you, with a tailored menu according to the season and your whims and desires. A rare moment in time.

Suffused with the Norman soul of its home at Château de Primard, the Susanne Kaufmann spa offers well-being interludes in the heart of a former orchard, with an outdoor swimming pool. Bathed in natural light, the 4,800-square-foot/450-square-meter space features a sensory space that includes a sauna and Japanese bath. Just an hour away from Paris, the Domaine de Primard beckons you to the heart of its 40-hectare grounds. Its gardens, designed by Jacques Wirtz, are home to over 250 varieties of rose and a collection of rare trees. Highland cows, Ouessant sheep, horses, ducks and geese fill the landscape with life. Enjoy chef's cuisine with three different experiences: Les Chemins, the gourmet restaurant; Martin, the Hotel’s second restaurant; and the Table d’Hôtes. The kitchens are stocked by Domaine's permaculture vegetable garden. Meanwhile, the spa offers—for the first time in France—the natural spa treatments developed by Susanne Kaufmann.

The Primard Gardens extend over nearly 50 acres along the banks of the Eure River. It is home to a varied collection of rare trees and shrubs. Designed more than 35 years ago by Jacques Wirtz, they are representative of the gardens created by the famous Belgian landscape artist. Accompanied by Gérard, you will discover the rose garden—which boasts more than 250 varieties of roses—, the permaculture kitchen garden, as well as a stunning collection of trees and shrubs.
