A stone's throw away from the Splendide Royal, start your walk at the Petit Palais before heading to the Champs de Mars via the Palais Iéna. Travel back in time with the monuments and buildings built for the Expositions Universelles events held in Paris in 1878, 1889, 1900 and 1937.

A village within a city

Not far from the hotel at 24 de la Rue Boissy d’Anglas lies the charming Village Royal. Built in 1725, this little car-free street is a bucolic, village-inspired area in the heart of Paris.  Its low-built houses and gorgeous facades lend the street an old-fashioned sense of charm, making it a wonderfully pleasant place for a stroll in all seasons.

The Jardin du Luxembourg garden and museum

The Musée du Luxembourg is a cozy exhibition space enclosed in a wing that lies perpendicular to the Orangerie at the Palais du Luxembourg, home to the French Senate. This French institution is based throughout the rest of the Palais. The Jardin du Luxembourg is a 23-hectare public garden that backs on to the museum. It was founded in 1612 upon Marie de' Medici's request.
