This charming château is close to Lunéville, a town which Voltaire wrote “felt” just like Versailles. In the so-called “Little Versailles” of the Dukes of Lorraine, you can explore the Baccarat crystal works and Nancy’s famous Stanislas square, a Unesco World Heritage site. Adoménil is an 18th century building that has been beautifully restored and enhanced by subtle touches of modernity. Starred Chef Cyril Leclerc creates audacious gourmet cuisine that gives pride of place to fresh products, many of them from the surrounding Lorraine countryside. The best of both the past and present come together in the courteous service and fine cuisine at this beautiful hideaway.

Our commitments

Located near to Lunéville in eastern France, Adoménil is a French château with subtle, modern touches. Here, Michelin-starred chef Cyril Leclerc creates adventurous, gourmet cuisine with a thoroughgoing emphasis on fresh organic products—the majority sourced from the surrounding area in Lorraine.
The hotel has kept bees for some forty years and its orchards contain apples, figs and nuts, as well as plum trees, whose fruit is used extensively in desserts in August and September. Lunéville’s market gardens are well-known in France, and the château works in close partnership with two organic suppliers within a 10km radius to source seasonal fruit and vegetables. A local charcutier, in nearby Dombasle-sur-Meurthe, provides breakfast ham, and pigeon is supplied weekly by local breeder, Thierry Laurent. All fish and seafood are seasonal and sourced according to criteria for ocean protection.

A château experience

At this 18th-century château in the heart of Lorraine, the hotel has taken over the main building, as well as the former stables and the wine grower's quarters. The interior decor respects the location's authentic spirit and enhances its period features. The tall sloping slate roof gives this elegant and sophisticated home its graceful appearance. Meanwhile the grounds bring together a variety of plant life to give an area conducive to leisurely contemplation.
