Maître de maison takes pride in ensuring that everything is perfect, right down to the slightest detail. Each room is lightly perfumed with its own special fragrance, the welcome is warm, the terrace is surrounded by beautiful nature and, in the kitchen, the chef has discovered the secret of remarkable and inspired cuisine tailored around the freshest produce of the season. The four cardinal points of this Castle: share one's passion for what one does, work with the finest products of the land and the sea, be open to other cultures, and prioritise human relations.
In this Château looking out over the magnificent Loire Valley (a UNESCO world heritage site), the kitchen team works with respect for the seasons and is constantly on the lookout for ingredients with a true taste of France. Passing on their savoir-faire is essential. Apprentices and interns are warmly welcomed, and taught the art of hosting, cooking and service in the tradition of French ‘Art de Vivre’. Here, there is no room for waste and loss eliminated through careful sourcing. Any organic waste there is, feeds the neighbouring poultry and goats. The electricity, meanwhile, is controlled by a BAS (Building Automation System) to optimise efficiency.

"Before or after dinner, enjoy a walk in the park's nine hectares populated with the centenary cedar, walnut, and lime trees which perfume the silence! Nothing can provide more of a change of scenery than infinite viewpoints mixing gold with emerald, and ochre with jade. There's nothing more rustic than the low valleys of Angers where poetry seems to emanate from nature! The delightful plant life is highlighted by the ever-changing light in the Loire Valley, anticipating the emotion of Lilian Grimaud's cuisine, or extending it."

"When night falls, Noirieux lights up delicately with subdued lamp lights. In the main building, rooms in various styles including Louis XIII, Louis XV, Louis XVI and Art Deco let you travel to a time when beauty reigned and the furniture, lovingly sourced from antiques dealers in the region, invites a peacefulness soothed by the Loire Valley which extends like a carpet at the castle's feet. In the adjacent manor, the soft light falling on the beams in the rooms, which are each decorated in a different colour with wonderful upholstery from French dealers and manufacturers, takes you into a past which still resonates. With so much good feeling, you're guaranteed to spend an exceptional night."
