After experiencing a weekend of Chef Bangerter’s clever culinary creations, guests are invited to join us on Sunday mornings for a cooking demonstration with one of our talented chefs. Learn insightful cooking tips while the Chef prepares a seasonal dish using Langdon Hall’s garden grown vegetables and locally raised meats. It’s a wonderful glimpse into the culinary passion that abounds at Langdon Hall.

Sunday mornings with the Chef

The cuisine at Langdon Hall starts with looking out our kitchen windows. It is inspired by the seasons, wild produce growing in abundance on property and the bounty of our kitchen gardens. Relationships have been built with local farmers, foragers and artisans who hold similar beliefs providing wholesome natural products that have been prepared with care and respect.  I create dishes with purpose, with stories of my journeys and a glimpse at the terroir of Langdon Hall. All these ingredients combined, create an experience like no other, so grand, so magical that it is impossible to forget.

Wilks’ Bar offers lighter lunches and dinners in a cozy atmosphere. The Bar has a welcoming wood-burning fireplace, a collection of comfortable chairs and time period photos of Langdon Hall’s original founding family. A list of specialty cocktails, as well as your favorite classic drinks, are available.

The Bar menu is available from 12:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. daily.

In contrast to the manicured gardens which surround the house, the woodland trails invite guests into an area of unleashed beauty. Guests are encouraged to explore Langdon’s part of the Carolinian Forest where they can delight in the blooms of trilliums in the spring, the tree canopy shade of the summer and the bright colours of the maple leaves in the fall. Our resident dogs often beg for an invite to join guests on their exploration.
