Employees and managers make a rule of greeting guests and each other by name – a sign of the personal care and attention that differentiates the hotel from competitors. Sustainability here has a local flavor: one that respects and draws on the alpine heritage, delivering its own brand of social sustainability – in turn securing economic prosperity. The hotel strives to be an excellent employer for local people, offering a comprehensive three-year training program. It currently has three young people in training: two within walking distance and one from nearby Innsbruck. Non-local staff are also fully integrated into the community. They live in a dedicated staff house – a complimentary “home from home”; time out is taken to celebrate birthdays and Christmas; and employees have access to a range of benefits, including use of the business facilities and spa, discounted ski passes, and family and friends rates.

In the footsteps of King Ludwig II of Bavaria

An unmissable experience for our guests. Just 25 minutes by car from our property, Château de Neuschwanstein, the beautiful castle of Ludwig II of Bavaria, and Château de Hohenschwangau, his smaller summer castle, tower over the region. I have taken a guided tour of these châteaux myself and it is a truly impressive and unforgettable experience. My tip would be to take a short stroll over the Marienbrücke. This bridge offers the most beautiful views of the fairy-tale château and Forggensee Lake in the background. Neuschwanstein is always worth a detour, in summer or winter.

Both sides of the legendary Arlberg pass between Vorarlberg and Tyrol, the cradle of Austrian alpine skiing.
