“I take 10 guests powder skiing every Friday in the winter ski season. We take the Silver Queen Gondola up Aspen Mountain and jump straight on a snowcat for an adventure off the back side of Ajax. After skiing knee- to waist-deep powder -- two miles of vertical of untracked snow--we go to our private cabin and serve a gourmet lunch with wines selected by our master sommelier, Chris Dunaway. To top it all off, we have a therapist to massage away any sore muscles from the skiing.”
“Aspen is a cyclist’s heaven. There are plenty of quiet roads, steep climbs and the views are some of the finest in the world. Because of this reputation, Aspen is a host to the USA Pro Challenge. To complement the race, we invite guests to experience a luxury cycling experience with former pro cyclist Christian Vande Velde. In addition to rides in the area to Independence Pass and the Maroon Bells, participants of the program dine together at our restaurants, including a farewell dinner prepared by Executive Chef Matt Zubrod paired with hand-selected wines from our cellar.”
“Since I can remember, I’ve always felt at home in the mountains. During the summer months, I get to share my passion for the Rocky Mountain wilderness with guests of The Little Nell. Ascending up the wild mountain in a Jeep Rubicon, driven by one of our Little Nell Adventure Concierges, we creep further and further from the town of Aspen, taking in spectacular mountain views few others ever witness. At our destination, a lunch awaits amongst the peaks, prepared by our 5-star culinary team. What’s most rewarding, though, is providing photography that captures moments along the way – moments I know our guests will never forget.”
No trip to Aspen would be complete without traveling some 20 kilometers south to the famous Maroon Bells, a series of rocky peaks standing at nearly 4,260 meters altitude. Offering breathtaking views, the Maroon Bells are the most photographed peaks in North America. With six scenic hiking paths, various campsites and cycle tracks for all levels, the athletic and inquisitive alike can enjoy the location and the infinite wonders of this natural setting. A year-round living expression of the majestic Rocky Mountains.
Come fall, the leaves turn some beautiful colors. We organize various excursions to encourage our guests to discover this stunning display. Experience it in a helicopter from the air, or on the ground, on an Off-Road Tour up Aspen Mountain. Aspen's fall colors will leave you with unforgettable memories.
