A 19th century Lord’s manor, the Mirador de Dalt Vila was until recently a family property. When it was converted into an intimate and welcoming hotel, none of its historical values were lost. Perched on the heights inside the famous walled city of Dalt Vila – declared a Unesco World Heritage site –, the building offers, as suggested by its name a magnificent panoramic view of the city of Ibiza, its historical port and the never ending horizon of the Mediterranean sea. Far from the bustle of the town, sample the charms of this peaceful haven with its excellent service and highly dedicated staff.

Our commitments

Originally built for 19th-century nobility, Mirador de Dalt Vila offers panoramic views of Ibiza and the Mediterranean. The sea’s ecosystem is something its owners and chef play their part in protecting, by supporting the preservation of Posidonia, a native aquatic flowering plant.
Working with local restaurants, shops, fishermen and institutions, Mirador de Dalt Vila is an active participant in the "Ibiza es Posidonia" event. The aim is to raise awareness among islanders and tourists of the environmental value of this plant, whose vast underwater meadows provide vitally important ecosystems. The hotel draws on its privileged connections with tourists to make them aware of the threat to the species through dishes created especially for the occasion and information sheets inserted into the pages of its menus.

Dalt Vila: UNESCO world heritage site

Take a guided tour of Dalt Vila (the upper part of Ibiza) to learn the history of the fortified city and our hotel. With over two and a half millennia of history, Ibiza Town is the oldest city in the Balearic Islands. Founded by the Phoenicians in the 7th century BC, it was originally level with Mount Puig de Vila, giving it a perfect geographical location for watching over the surrounding land and sea. The acropolis also incorporated a port area on the bay. The Phoenician enclave was so important and dynamic that in the 5th century BC, the city had around 4,000 inhabitants and exported its products to major Mediterranean sites.
