18th-century charterhouse

Armagnac estate
historic spa city
family-run for 3 generations
remarkable spa

Protected by the village’s medieval church and in the shade of old plane trees, stands this beautiful 18th century charterhouse. The stone arcades of its sand colored frontage invite you to discover an elegant succession of living and dining rooms. An afternoon by the fireplace in the library, a summer night dining under the lime-tree, tasting Armagnac from its vineyards, nestled in its soft sofas: all this generous joy, real hymn to the delicious products of Gascony, matches the harmony of its luminous simplicity. In the gardens, benefit from the expert treatments provided at the Thermal Spa.

The Armagnac vineyards by bike

La Bastide makes its fleet of all-terrain bikes available for adventurers young and old, so that they may discover the surrounding vineyards along the magnificent, shady bike path. A former railway that crossed the countryside in the beginning of the 20th century, the greenway leads from Barbotan to Landes through a series of pretty medieval bastides. Not to be missed: Labastide d’Armagnac, its Place Royale and master cutler; and Saint-Justin. Last but not least, since the taste buds should not be neglected, our Chef can prepare a delicious picnic for your expedition (please reserve the day before).
