Along with the Cabo da Roca lighthouse Fortaleza do Guincho is the most westerly point in Europe. Atlantic waves crash against the rocks at the foot of this impressive building. At the entrance, two cannons turned towards the ocean remind you that you are entering an ancient fortress. This is a building of character and immense charm, with preserved 17th century interiors, delicious cuisine and the beach just two steps away. Try water sports, play golf, or go to the casino in Estoril. For vibrant culture and nightlife, Lisbon is just 30 km away.

Day Trip along the Coast and a Visit to a Vineyard

Enjoy the beautiful scenery we have to offer along the coast, on a day tour on an e-bike with a guide; during the day you will discover the landscape and the coastline where you will see some of the most beautiful beaches in the area, some of them still unknown, you will visit the beautiful village of Azenhas do Mar; on the way back to the Hotel, visit an amazing winery and vineyard, where a local wine is produced.

Fortaleza do Guincho is only an hour and a half driving from Nazare, another paradise for brave and very good surfers.
