all-inclusive
family-friendly

With the Córdoba’ Sierras as a background, Stéphanie and Raoul Fenestraz have created a real living Argentinean estancias in the heart of Argentina. Light wood parquet flooring and high white vaulted ceilings, selected furniture and objects: your suite reflects the spirit of the property, spacious, elegant, full of light and stories. Your days are spent between horseback riding, polo lessons, picnic in the garden, outside swimming pool and wine tastings before wonderful culinary delights. Beef, mutton, eggs and milk from their farm, fruit, herbs and home-grown vegetables are the ingredients for unforgettable barbecues in a convivial atmosphere, which forms the essence of Argentinean countryside.

Our commitments

El Colibri has been welcoming guests since 2005. A traditional “estancias”, its architecture is proudly inspired by the great Argentinean ranches of the last century.
In 2011, only a few miles away, the owners opened a further property—the 160ha hacienda Don André—which is dedicated to the breeding of lambs and Aberdeen Angus cows. Chef Léo Bramajo carefully selects its meat from the nearby butcher, and sometimes serves Aberdeen Angus meat from the property’s hacienda, where all cooked meats are produced.

Explore the Jesuit estancias of Cordoba

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and spread over a vast territory, the Jesuit estancias of Cordoba are of major cultural and architectural interest. Just four miles/seven kilometers from El Colibri, Santa Catalina, founded in 1622, is renowned for its remarkable colonial-era church. And nine miles/14 kilometers away, Jesus Maria is home to a museum dedicated to religious art from the 17th and 18th centuries, where you can also admire a beautiful collection of tableware and furniture from the period.

Ecotourism and organic farm

Throw open the doors of Estancia El Colibri in Santa Catalina and contemplate 420 acres/170 hectares of unspoiled, open landscape, with the plains of Córdoba in the background. Explore this vast terrain on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback for an incomparable feeling of freedom. With binoculars, you can observe the many species of birds that live on the estate–in particular, keep an eye out for hummingbirds and listen for the characteristic ‘buzz’ of their tiny wings.

Activities for the whole family

El Colibri focuses on the whole family, with activities suitable for all ages, from baking classes to bike rides, or discovering animal life on the farm. Guided by Maxi, the establishment's own gaucho, your children will be able to feed goats, sheep and llamas, as well as harvest eggs from the henhouse and fruits from the orchard.

Horseback riding

Explore the vast wilderness around El Colibri on horseback, accompanied by gauchos–Argentinian cowboys. Through plains and forests, and along mountain roads, all levels of experience can expect an unforgettable excursion.

El Colibri Polo Club

I have loved polo for years and it was a dream come true when I created my El Colibri Polo Club team, who compete in numerous tournaments on horses bred and trained on the estate. The two large fields are equipped with an irrigation system for an optimum lawn quality all year round. So anyone can take part, whether amateur or professional and whatever your level.
