Provençal hamlet

vineyards & lavender fields
views of Mont Ventoux
16,150-square-foot spa
the Luberon by bike

Coquillade Provence hotel overlooks something of a living painting–a tableau of vineyards, olive trees and lavender fields amid the gentle hills of the Luberon. This charming Provencal hamlet, with its ochre facades, tiled rooftops and panoramic views of Mont Ventoux, perfectly embodies the soul of the region. Guest rooms–some decorated in an authentic style, others in a more contemporary way–blend in wonderfully with this green setting. In the kitchen, the chef showcases produce from his own vegetable garden alongside local products at Avelan restaurant and its two chef’s tables. His colorful plates reflect the region, which is easy to explore. Several cycle tracks are accessible from the hotel, allowing you to crisscross the lavender fields to the sound of cicadas. Back at the property, its azure swimming pool and 21,500 square foot spa promise intense relaxation, making every stay an enchanting interlude.

Our commitments

Coquillade Provence was awarded the European Ecolabel in July 2012. The award was given in recognition of its investments and efforts to protect the environment.
Since it opened, the property has met all the criteria of responsible tourism, from geothermal heating and cooling in all the buildings and green electricity, to selective waste sorting and ecolabel maintenance products. Non-potable water from the Provence Canal is used to water the green spaces and flush the toilets. The walkways and underbrush on the grounds are maintained to prevent fires. The hotel has carried out a carbon footprint assessment and is embarking on a decarbonization strategy, part of which includes carbon offsetting allowing them to have achieved carbon neutrality in 2022.
In the kitchen, the chef uses fruits, vegetables and herbs from his kitchen garden, and orders ingredients from mostly organic local farmers. Farmed using sustainable agricultural methods, the Aureto de Coquillade Provence vineyard produced its first organic vintages in 2022.

A cycling tour in the Lubéron

“Nothing compares to the simple pleasure of a bike ride," John Fitzgerald Kennedy once exclaimed. This is all the more true when you are cycling in the Luberon with the magnificent Mont Ventoux as a backdrop. During your stay at Domaine le Coquillade Village, we invite you to discover the most secret places in this authentic Provence. We’ll prepare a delicious picnic for you to take along in order to fully enjoy your bike ride. Upon your return, we’ll have a one-hour massage in our spa reserved for your relaxation.
